[ Well, Josuke knows of Yokohama. Jyuto certainly doesn't know of an "S City" but, it's whatever he guesses. Maybe it exists somewhere... ]
I'd imagine growing up in a small town must be nice, too. There's likely a bigger sense of community, when everyone sees each other on a regular basis, am I wrong? Naturally there are perks to the city as well, but it's all a matter of perspective. I'm sure you and your friends can visit the city on a fun day trip together.
oh yeah, we all kinda know each other. it's annoying sometimes ... you do one thing and suddenly everyone in the neighbourhood and in school are talking about it, y'know?
i got brought in by the police for some shit that wasn't my fault once. they released me, but suddenly the old ladies in the neighbourhood are lookin at me like i'm an actual criminal
It must be the only exciting thing for them to gossip about, go figure. I'm sorry you were taken in under false alarm, hopefully the police were only trying to do their jobs. There's no need to worry too much about it. Usually the more defensive someone acts post interrogation, the more suspicious the public becomes. The interest in you should pass as long as you allow it to. Take this advice from me, a police officer. ;) As for what's good in Yokohama... we're removed from it, but I think it's more a question of what's there not to love about it. I could go on and elaborate, but it might be unfun and excessive to read. Take my word for it?
that makes sense ... the police didn't give me any trouble after that, so it was all good.
you're with the police huh? my grandpa was police chief back home ... he was like the protector of our lil town, almost. when this scumbag took his life, i kinda felt like ... i had to step in and take his place. i was trying my hardest doing that until the moons dumped me here.
[ wait, that might be too much to unload on a stranger he pretty much misfired in the middle of the night. ]
... oh, sorry. didn't mean to hit you with that heavy shit. i'll go visit yokohama with my friends one day, and if we ever meet each other again i'll tell ya what i think.
[ Jyuto is reminded himself upon reading that. How he got started in the force. ]
Don't be sorry. You seem like a good kid. I'm sure your grandfather would be happy to see that you're trying to carry on his will to protect your town. I'll go back to sleep now, but you're welcome to keep texting this number in the future. Life is a lot tougher without parents to help guide you through things.
I'm sure once we're brought back home things will be exactly as we left them. Best to consider this some kind of extended, lucid dream, I think. Good night!
[ Of course, he can't actually know that. Jyuto doesn't find it productive to panic when they've apparently no influence over how long they stay. It's okay, Josuke! Your new mom is here! ]
