You're going to shed on my pants. [ Jyuto is trying to complain, but he can't help but smile because he can tell Kogami's enjoying his company. The wolf is large and heavy across his lap and yet enjoyably easy to lean on. This is exactly what Jyuto does. ]
I expect you to help me finish the strawberries, wolf or not.
[ jyuto is leaning into him, and kogami shamelessly cuddles, nuzzling into his neck, pawing gently at him and definitely shedding everywhere.
but then he remembers something else, and leaps off his lap to bound towards the fridge, opening it with his snout to delicately close his jaw around a bottle of water. he shuts the fridge now, before trotting back to him, holding it out in his mouth. ]
[ Jyuto is trying to clean the hair from his pants when Kogami returns. Eventually, he looks up at the wolf and the expectant water bottle held horizontally in his mouth, reaching across to take it from him so that he doesn't have to stand and keep offering. ]
Thank you. [ He hadn't considered he'd be given any. With Kogami unable to quip back to him like this, Jyuto's starting to realize how often they ping pong their conversations back and forth, self conscious of taking up too much spotlight. He thinks of something they can do to ease himself of that worry. ]
Do you want to watch television together? It doesn't require talking, and I feel oddly lonely speaking to you when you can't reply directly. [ An awkward pause. Then, he pats his lap like he's inviting a small cat to jump up onto it— only that the cat is a huge ass wolf that's Kogami. ]
[ kogami doesn't need to be told twice, shifting the remote to him with a paw and leaping into jyuto's lap without question, coming to nuzzle over him. it is an interesting dynamic, a shift in how they communicate with each other, but kogami likes listening to the sound of his voice all the same.
he gives his jaw a little lick, tail wagging. he's not alone, never.
also, he's just resting his head on his shoulder now. ]
Mm? What is it, did you get tired? [ Jyuto lets an arm wrap idly against Kogami's wolf body, taking the remote with his other hand so he can turn on the TV with it. Similarly, he leans his head against Kogami's but flips through channels at the same time, trying to find something that they'll both enjoy. ]
I do suppose you have to work yourself up more, since you have to display to me how you're feeling. [ He turns his head, nuzzles into wolf fur and gives Kogami a small kiss by the ear. A feat, considering that he isn't really an animal person. Now that they've become close, though, Jyuto feels as if he should make his own affections that much more clear in their alone time. ]
[ oh, he likes that fleeting little kiss and that nuzzle. warmed by jyuto's affection, he huffs an approval before squirming around and settling beside him, resting his head on his lap and staring at the screen.

And why am I not surprised that you want to watch the documentary about the most notorious serial killer in Lunatian history? [ He ruffles the top of Kogami's head, selecting the first episode of the extended documentary. ]
It's not a bad idea, though. I don't know as much about the criminals here as much as I probably should by now... [ Says the man who became a moon knight in only a few months. He shifts back on the sofa, starting the episode with a click of the remote. ] It's funny how similar the residents of this planet are to humans. On an intellectual level, they don't seem all that different, do they? All of the science fiction movies from my world are usually about malicious aliens who don't want to coexist with us. Or the horrors of advancing technology. Your world would basically be the plot of a movie in mine, but we're on the way there if I honestly think it through.
[ kogami the wolf practically smiles at him, before he's shifting to sprawl over the sofa and jyuto's lap, licking the inside of his wrist lightly. he turns to him when he speaks, clearly listening, and woofs lightly to acknowledge his words before moving up to lick the underside of his chin.
it's brief, fleeting, before he settles down again, tail thumping on the sofa. he's watching intently, too, and when the scene cuts to someone talking about how brilliant the murderer is, kogami makes an obviously disdainful wolfy noise.
I'm pretty sure they say that in every killer documentary. [ Just as unimpressed. Jyuto looks down at Kogami, gently slipping an arm under the wolf's front leg while he splays over his lap. Broad, lazy. There are things that are similar, even if he's manifested as an animal during his moon cycle. ]
You opened the door for me even when you warned me about Sanguis blessed people being dangerous, before. I can't say you're doing a great job at convincing me that the fact is true. [ Petting him. He can feel Kogami's heartbeat behind the plate of his breast. ] You aren't tearing apart your sofa. Is it something you got more used to in time, or should I purchase a muzzle somewhere?
[ a muzzle? kogami huffs softly, his attention not on the documentary but on the man himself. he's nuzzling against the hand that's petting him, nosing along his forearm lazily; but somehow, the idea of a muzzle is oddly... appealing.
in lieu of responding, he simply bobs his head and rolls over on his back, baring his belly before he wolf-smiles -- turns out, he really did get better control over his instincts after all. ]
You disgust me. [ Jyuto lies to Kogami, as he rolls over like a total piece of shit. This spoiled animal! But Jyuto can't stop petting him. ]
Watch the movie, you big, useless animal. [ Jyuto complains, reaching down to cup Kogami's wolf face in his hands and rub the soft sides of it until triangular little fangs poke out of his happy canine mouth. He's really not that interested in the movie, because even when Kogami's a wolf and unable to reply to him, he has a certain magnetism that Jyuto is unable to resist. He wonders if he'll ever be able to ignore that attraction. ] Your teeth are too clean for a dog's. [ Jyuto's only seen Kogami brush his teeth a couple of times, now. It's always the morning after they've had sex. ]
[ he definitely doesn't disgust him -- kogami's starting to be able to tell when jyuto says things for the sake of it, when he's actually feeling quite fond and probably doesn't know what to do with that.
case in point: jyuto's actually petting him. kogami lets jyuto toy with him, and he's wagging enough to generate a gentle little breeze around them. he soaks up all of the man's interest, happy to be examined before he darts forward to lick his cheek.
he's a wolf, bunny. so he makes another soft chuffing noise and sits up, eager to nuzzle into his neck and to press his nose just under his ear. ]
