After a violent, third world war caused a drastic cut in the world's population, an all-female party known as The Party of Words reformed their former existing government via the use of Hypnosis Mics, microphones capable of disturbing the human mind. After taking reign, they stripped all men of their prior governing influence, banning them from any further involvement in public affairs. This change would come to be known as the beginning of The H Era. As the most powerful members of their new society, women were relocated to the central ward, Chuo-ku, while men were segregated from them and made to live in the surrounding districts. While the new matriarchy eradicated the military and weapons of the past, conflict arose later in the distribution of Hypnosis Mics to the public. Surfacing as a new form of entertainment for the ruling women of Chuo-ku, men formed representative groups of their corresponding districts and began to battle each other not with weaponry, but instead verbally via Hypnosis Mics in rap turf wars.
Jyuto is not only a corrupt cop, but also a member of MAD TRIGGER CREW, the representative rap group of the Yokohama Division.
Personality:
Jyuto, having lost his parents in a car accident involving a driver under the influence, became a police officer to join the war on drugs. His determination to snuff out their distribution only grew after his former mentor and best friend in criminal justice succumbed to addiction and died of an overdose. Vengeful of those taken from him, Jyuto became much more firm-handed and aggressive in his way of conducting business within the police force, having concluded that dirtying his own hands for the sake of an overarching goal is a necessary evil in order to take any steps forward.
Jyuto's icy professionalism means that very few get to know him beyond a carefully constructed social barrier, and in his solo titled ベイサイド・スモーキングブルース, he confidently references that he is prone to alienating himself with his corrupted lifestyle. He carries out his methods with certain seamlessness, to the point that his coworkers are unaware of what he sweeps beneath the rug. As he's established a reliable method of making ends meet one way or another, he's simply seen as extremely dependable when it comes to any task. He is considered by them to be very charismatic, with an occasional witty or playful joke. His mannerisms are also seen as very polite, and he uses both keigo (formal/respectful conjugations) with others often as well as defaulting to polite speech ("desu/masu" conjugations) in daily life. Even in dealing with criminals to a point does he retain this language, despite a possible condescending undertone. Something of stark contrast to his cool-headedness, however, is his style of rap in which he uses raw, rude and cruel language (ex: "Die looking like a beehive under the fire of a QF gun," "Eat slop in prison, lowlife.")— perhaps, the most honest representation of his frustration towards the world he lives in. This explicit verbalization is also seen various times in drama CDs and the manga, when he has been pushed to losing his temper or patience.
Not all of Jyuto's warmth or kindness is out of social obligation, though. In one drama CD, Jyuto was unable to ignore the special "something" he noticed in the younger members of the Ikebukuro Division's representative rap group, Buster Bros!!!. Seeing themselves stunt their own independent growth by relying too heavily on the eldest brother, Ichiro, Jyuto provided Jiro and Saburo with advice to shine more independently in order to meet their true potential rather than live in Ichiro's shadow. Despite mocking them for their age (to Jyuto, they are seen as mere children) in their battle single WAR WAR WAR, he still can't help but feel a nurturing desire to try and help steer them away from foreseeable negative futures, wanting them to grow into the promise that they already display at their current age.
Though he only reveals the part of him that lies beneath his work face to a select few, he has come to genuinely care for and respect the fellow members of MAD TRIGGER CREW, Samatoki and Riou. The circumstances of their environment and union of goals have brought them to become almost like a makeshift family, leaving Jyuto with deep compassion towards the two. Even so, their company does come at a price, as Jyuto often finds himself tired while looking after them and having to mop up the frequent messes that both their lack of proper social etiquette often leaves behind. As the three members of MAD TRIGGER CREW are very, very different from one another, Jyuto is usually the one to iron out any bickering to arise, serving as both the group's brain and babysitter. As their loyalty to him runs thick, Jyuto intends to stand by them and use his underhandedness to their group's benefit, taking on the role of their protector.
Abilities:
Jyuto possesses a Hypnosis Mic, a microphone that is capable of disturbing the human sympathetic nervous system, parasympathetic nervous system and mental state of those who hear from it. He can inflict damage upon others via his verses and lyrics. When in use, as he and select other characters wield the hypnosis mic, it transforms into a personalized form referred to as a Hypnosis Speaker.
He is human, and in terms of power, only fits within the designated margin of being so. As aforementioned in his personality description, he has natural cunning and has acquired various skills from his occupation as a cop.
...And this is probably redundant to say, but he can rap, too.
Personal Effects:
When Jyuto uses his Hypnosis Mic, it changes to a personalized form and takes the shape of a police transceiver. His Hypnosis Speaker appears as a large, floating collection of megaphones. Certain characters in the series are able to use a Mic Ability, which is locked to an individual's specific spirit. According to the official Hypnosis Mic guidebook and seen in the manga, Jyuto's Mic Ability, called Prison, can immobilize and incapacitate its designated target.
Prized Possession:
Hypnosis Mic
CRAU Premise:
Jyuto is taken from Prismatica (
prismatica), where he spent about one year's time before the game closing. There, even in a new world, he reestablished himself within the criminal justice system in order to continue his vendetta against drugs. He climbed to an equal position as himself in his canon (Sergeant of Organized Crime Department) through corrupted means. He hired and bribed many player characters into advancing his career. Due to the sexual premise of the game, the relationships and bonds to his fellow teammates of MAD TRIGGER CREW were strengthened and brought even closer by intimate means. Additionally, he developed a romantic relationship with Shinya Kogami from the franchise Psycho Pass who had initially connected with him as a fellow misplaced and former member of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of his own world.

"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life."Tainted by some consequential cynicism, with a pointed and pragmatic eye, he emotionally distances himself from his work and plays the field objectively in order to ensure he gets his way by the end. Business is business. He's very skilled in manipulation tactics such as coercion and blackmail, in many cases pressuring useful parties into doing his bidding by either getting dirt on them to hold against them or by keeping them indebted to him in some shape or form. His polished but intricately calculated demeanor can be read after a proper study of his appearance. Narrow glasses frames with jeering eyes behind them, while unnoticed to the unsuspecting are a hint to the distrusting that he's always carefully studying those who he may deem useful to him at a later time. Red gloves in place of the standard white of a traditional Japanese police officer uniform can easily be seen as symbolic of his change of approach. He is highly intellectual and anticipates various outcomes while simultaneously preparing for them ahead of time so that his side always comes out unscathed. He's notoriously known as the "bad cop," or "dirty cop," by many. In the manga, even the yakuza patriarch of the Katengumi chose not to make an enemy of him when he was subjectively disrespected, when Jyuto rudely snapped and rejected his suggestion to incorporate more yakuza into the Yokohama Division rap group.
